Kair guide mailshot is bang on target

Congratulations to Howard Morley and Patrick Gallagher for their relentless effort and artistic expertise in designing and producing the Kair Guide to Condensation & Mould Growth Control.  With help from Christopher Sells and Paul Gallagher they have produced a very informative guide for both professional and public use.

The Guide was mailed to over 800 authority contacts earlier this year and was also sent to the professional press and pilot mailings were directed to nursing homes, nursery schools, sheltered housing and National Trust building managers throughout the country.  The response to the mail shots was phenomenal.  Many of the trade publications have featured it and we have had a very encouraging response from leaders.

Statistics show that condensation affects over 50 per cent of buildings in the UK.  Mould growth appears on any damp surface such as plaster, wallpaper and timber and is associated with condensation in buildings.

The Environmental Protection Act 1990 puts the onus on all landlords to ensure that their properties are designed and maintained to a standard that prevents conditions causing damage to health or personal property of the tenant.
