Kiltox Performs at the Royal Albert Hall
Kiltox were invited to provide pre-tender advice and budget information for
tanking in areas of the basements at the Royal Albert hall by Taylor
Woodrow, Construction Manager and Building Design Partnership, Principal
Consultants. Kiltox were subsequently appointed to carry out the
works by HBG builders work Trade Contractor for the Main Kitchens Project.
This Project is one element of the Royal Albert Hall's Development Programme.
Trevor Crane, CTIS, CRDS, the Kiltox surveyor on this project, said:
"Having been appointed to carry out the work our technicians discovered on
the first day on site that in accordance with a very tight construction
programme the working areas had been fully prepared for us, i.e Wall plaster had
been removed along with existing kitchen fitments doors and frames and in some
areas even the floors were being removed.
"The whole area was alive with workmen, all working against the clock to
finish their various assigned specialist tasks.
"Working to such a tight programme with the installation of new
floors and walls made it very difficult to carry out our work and complete on
time but we succeeded!
"We can now say, with pride, that Kiltox have performed at the Royal
Albert Hall!"
Over 7.5 tons of Kiltox Tanking Mix 134 were used on site. The work
carries a Kiltox 30 Year Guarantee.
