Now That Is What I Call A Wall!

Jewson's Builders Merchants have made major changes to their Kennington branch - building a new facility and using one of the original walls of their old building as part of a second storage house.

As the old wall was to be incorporated into the new structure a decision was taken that it had to be damp proofed.  Kiltox were invited in to carry out the work.

Standard brick walls are usually 9" thick, this wall was 13˝" thick!  It required double drilling and injecting with Kiltox Chemical Damp Proof Course fluid.  This carries the British Board of Agrément (BBA) Certificate 90/2499 Kiltox chemical DPC and Replastering System.  It is then proposed that the wall be dry lined, which is to be carried out by their builders.
