Natalie Bere lives in London, but hates the traffic,
the pollution and the tube. She wants to find a dream home in Kent where
she can spend the weekends unwinding, but also needs a house in London
so daughter Mikaela can carry on at the same primary school.
As a single parent with a full-time job, Natalie has no time for
house hunting - this is where Phil and Kirstie come in. What seems like
a straightforward house search ends up as anything but. Phil takes on
the London search, where he needs to find a house the same size as
Natalie's current one for a hundred grand less. And Kirstie heads for
Kent, looking for a house with "Wow factor" - but she's competing with
250,000 other commuters for property close to the train stations.
Natalie's claustrophobia rules out most properties with low ceilings or
lifts, and her fear of maintenance creates problems with many period
houses. Will Phil and Kirstie be able to satisfy her wish list?
